For Andrew and Jonathan Schnipper, their mom's Saturday sloppy joes were the beginning of a lifelong passion for great food.
1990
HEARTY BEGINNINGS
As the original founders of Hale and Hearty Soups, they ran the family-owned business from 1990 to 2006.
2009
IT’S ALL IN THE NAME
The duo launched their next venture, Schnipper’s, in 2009, with two Midtown locations, which has become known for its juicy burgers, gluten free (by accident) chicken fingers, flavorful sandwiches, salads, and sloppy joes.
2023
FOR THE LOVE OF COMFORT FOOD
They recently partnered with hamburger historian George Motz to open Hamburger America in SoHo, celebrating their shared passion for burgers.
2024
ANOTHER NAMESAKE
In the very same space where they first founded Hale and Hearty, the Schnipper brothers have brought delicious soup back to New York with Schnipper’s Quality Soups on the Upper East Side.
